Teacher Only Events are taught by Senior Yoga Teachers members. This ensures that the teacher is experienced enough to be able pass knowledge on to other teacher.
Teacher Only Events are workshops that aim to improve your teaching skills. They are different from other workshops as they are not open to the general public and it’s an opportunity to meet and connect with other yoga teachers like you! They are also different from training courses, as you will not receive any qualification or graduation certificate from attending these events.
• These events must be for yoga teachers and dedicated to developing their knowledge. You should state this in the event description.
• You cannot post teacher training, further training or vocational training courses in this section. It is also not for general workshops or retreats.
• The event should be at least 2 hours long and cannot exceed 27 hours.
• Specialist topics (sports, pregnancy, kids, teens, meditation), must state it is a TASTER event and not a qualifying workshop.
• You must not mention 'training' anywhere on the event listing either on our website or on your own.
• Attendees should not be issued with a graduation certificate or say they are qualified in any way.
• We reserve the right to delete your event listing from our website if it does not meet our requirements. You will be notified by email if we do so
Posting these events is easy! All you have to do is log in to your Senior Yoga Teacher profile and you'll see the option on your dashboard.
Make sure to add information to all the fields (including uploading a picture) this will ensure your event gets more attention.
Once you have posted your event, you'll find it in a few places on the website. Your event will be displayed on your profile, on the Yoga Hub and in the teacher only events section.
Further training is essential within any profession, yoga included. It is important that you take part in further training courses and workshops. We no longer enforce a CPD requirement; we trust that our members will complete additional training.
You can record your further training hours on your profile within the account details tab. These will also count towards your membership upgrade (up 30% of teaching hours can be substituted for further training hours)
